Simply Delicious
My Favorites
Have you ever saved a web page to your Favorites list? Have you ever found a page that is so good that you KNOW you'll be coming back to it again and again? If you're like me, you probably have dozens, maybe hundreds of pages in your favorites. In fact I have resorted to making sub-folders in my favorites so I can save links by category (research, clients' sites, programming sites and tools, etc.) And while these links are handy and useful, they only serve me personally.
So what if I stumble upon a site which is so great that I want to share it with other people? I could email my friends and tell them about the site. I could write about the site in my blog (as I am doing now...) But, of course there is a better way...which also lends credence to the saying that you can find anything on the Internet.
There is this Internet site called Delicious (www.delicious.com} which allows me to store and share my links for free. As with other social media sites, I can create a profile, which I can make public or which I can share with a select group. I can then post those links which I want to share with others. Again, I can choose to make the links public or private.
Pretty cool, eh? But wait! Theres MORE...
Since Delicious is set up like other social media sites, I can use my Delicious account to promote my website. In addition to sharing links that I use all the time, I can add a link to my own website. For those of you who are familiar with my WEBSITE CHECKLIST, you know that placing links on other websites is a key way to improve search engine ranking.
So I'm adding this site to my growing collection of web marketing tools. You (and everyone else in the entire world) are welcome to use my links by going to www.delicious.com/dkisor . I hope you find them useful - I use them just about every day.
